Gyros is a traditional Greek dish typically made with meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie, but this homemade version uses marinated and pan-roasted or oven-baked meat, perfect for easy home cooking. Served in warm pita with vegetables, tzatziki sauce, and often some crispy fries, it's fresh, flavor-packed, and satisfying. Ideal for lunch, dinner, or casual gatherings, especially in warmer seasons when Mediterranean flavors truly shine.

I made them and they turned out perfect. Yes, it's a little more work, but it's worth it.

Perhaps it is necessary to add a little more meat and less vegetables to the recipe
